MYFOSKA, in Summary

We function as a Foundation dedicated to promoting peace and peaceful co-existence in the Southern part of Kaduna. Part of our doing this includes that we protect the rights and liberty of the Muslims in stated area and strives to tell their story as we believe peace is a product of justice, fairness and understanding.

Promote peace, justice and fairness by telling the often under reported story of Muslims in Southern Kaduna and protecting their lives and properties.

Mission

In partnership with any developmental organization, individual and Government, protect the right, interest and dignity of Muslim communities across Southern Kaduna through far-reaching social programmes.

Vission

To build a strong, Vibrant, Egalitarian and United Muslim Ummah where individuals and families thrive become self-reliant.

Aims and Objectives

1. To promote unity among Muslim community and non-Muslim in southern Kaduna.

2. To protect and promote the interest and dignity of the Muslim Ummah.

3. To re-install Islamic qualities into our societies and address the problems of moral decadence.

4. To ensure self reliance and self-sufficient society through encouragement of skills acquisition.

5. To partner with other non-governmental organization in areas of needs.

Brief History

On the 1st of May, 2011, we the concern Muslim Youth of Southern Kaduna decided to come together to critically appraised the situation we find ourselves and the problems facing the entire society, hence we firmly resolve as follows:

To consolidate ourselves into an active progressive forum that will be known as “Muslim Youth Foundation of Southern Kaduna (MYFOSKA)”.

To ensure that we are incorporated with the corporate affairs commission so that we can operate legally in pursuit of our aims and objectives within and beyond Nigeria.

To use our limited resources, time and knowledge to effectively plan to proffer short- and long-term solution to such problems in order to promote peace, understanding, prosperity and freedom from intimidation, conflicts, poverty and ignorance and above all shape and secure a viable future for our children, so that they can join their compatriots from other parts of Nigeria to build a new Nigeria of our dream.

Guiding Principles and
Areas of Intervention

Being a Muslim Foundation, MYFOSKA is guided strictly by the tenets of Islam with sources from the Qur’an, Sunnah and the Consensus of scholars. At the peak of this is justice for all and mercy for mankind.

Fairness in Narrative

While we sought to represent the interest and tell the story of our people, we are guided by the Islamic emphasis for truth to be told even if it is against one's self.

Our activities are structured to avoid incitement and sensationalism. We will not use sentiments in a deceptive and dangerous manner as is common with others.

Community Sourcing

Information will be gotten from the grassroot and data will be collected and verified before transmitting to the world. MYFOSKA is sensitive to community nuances.
