The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his decision to establish a federal university in Southern Kaduna. The union, which represents diverse ethnic groups in the region, described the move as a pivotal step toward addressing historical injustices and promoting socio-economic development.
In a press statement, SOKAPU President, Dr. Awemi Maisamari, expressed gratitude to the federal government for responding to the long-standing demands of the people of Southern Kaduna. “This is a welcome development that will undoubtedly transform the educational landscape of our region. It is not just about building a university but about bridging the gap in access to quality education for our youth,” Dr. Maisamari stated.
